"I failed my first art class. Now I teach it."

I grew up drawing in the margins of math homework and getting scolded for it. It took twenty years and a lot of ruined canvases to realize that imperfection is the whole point. My studio is loud, messy, and forgiving. We're not making museum pieces. We're learning to see.

Formally trained painter turned patient teacher. Ten years leading small studios in Oslo and San Diego.
